Okay, you’ve been in Taiwan for years now, you crave for that big juicy burgers, and it feels like it’s already an eternity that you haven’t eaten one. Well, we bring you Hometown Burger located in American Street Ximending area in Taipei. Although the lane where the store is located is hiding in the spotlight, it is not that hard to find. The store is very humble as it is just a small burger joint yet, it stays true to its American roots especially just by looking at the design of their signboard.
Once inside, you’ll be amazed as to how simple and artistic the set-up inside the shop is. There are unique cartoon images and frames compiled in every wall. Hometown mascot, toys, and some figurine collections can be found as well. If not because of those tables and the counter, you’ll think you’re not in a restaurant. Because of this, these interior designs create an outstanding atmosphere that let’s you enjoy the food without any pressure. Though located in Ximending, the store location is not that noisy creating a perfect site for you to relax and enjoy those cheesy burritos!
For our orders, of course we tried to order their best ones and compare the two. First is the $320 Peanut Butter Double Meat Cheese Burger that has this 2 thick beef patties topped with the thick cheese sauce, lettuce, and then coated with a thick layer of peanut butter served with french fries that is hard to resist. THICKNESS at its best!
Second is the the $290 Double Meat Bacon Cheese Burger with its ingredients include double-layered beef, as well as crispy bacon and cheese, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. We haven’t found a burger with lots of onions on it. Its beef is juicy that you can really smell the aroma with every bite. CHEESY-NESS at its finest!
Price wise, everything is actually standard and reasonable especially when you have big burgers like this. Plus, all of these burgers comes with french fries and drinks. We didn’t add any special sauce and the experience by far was one of the best when it comes to American style burgers here in Taiwan.
