We all know that one of the many stresses before traveling is the itinerary. We search a lot about the places of that country so we could make the most out of our trip. Ever since we started blogging about Taiwan, many of our friends, or even strangers ask us for a perfect itinerary for their upcoming trip in the country. As fellow travelers, we want to help you save time, money, and somehow make your travels worthwhile.
And so, in order to lessen your stress, we prepared of what we think a perfect 4-Day Itinerary in Taiwan.
DAY 1: TAICHUNG TOUR
Usually, flights from the Philippines will arrive around 10:00 AM, and will be able to get out of the airport around 11:00 AM because of the long queues for the immigration, so actual tour starts here. Before proceeding to the scheduled tour, it’s better to take the lunch first since Taichung is a 2-hour drive. Below are the places we visited in Taichung:
ZHONGSHE FLOWER MARKET
Zhongshe Flower Market is available to all flower lovers out there. This is also a great spot for photography that features a colorful flower landscape of different kinds.
RAINBOW VILLAGE
Rainbow Village is an unintended tourist destination in Taichung. It was designed by Mr. Huang because of boredom where he started painting the village with random murals of vibrant colors – animals, dolls, and other characters.
XINSHE CASTLE
Xinshe Castle is a European Style Landscape located in the mountainous area of Taichung that’s definitely perfect for your prenuptial photos!
After the Taichung Tour, an overnight within Cingjing Area is necessary in order to join the Hehuanshan Sunrise Tour.
DAY 2: HEHUANSHAN and CINGJING FARM
Since not all buses or cars can be able to go through the mountainous journey to Hehuanshan Mountain, a separate shuttle bus picked us up at our accommodation around 04:00AM.
HEHUANSHAN
Hehuashan is a famous spot in Taiwan during winter because there’s a big chance that there would be snowfall here. The only disadvantage of visiting during winter is the traffic jam as a lot of people would also want to experience snow in the area. After the Hehuanshan Sunrise Tour, we were dropped off again at our accommodation around 07:00AM. We packed our things up since after our CIngjing Farm trip, we will be heading back to Taipei again.
CINGJING FARM
Cingjing Farm is a famous tourist destination consisting of a beautiful grassy high plain which is situated at an altitude of 1,740 meters above sea level that offers close contact with animals and is a popular family retreat area especially for children.
We decided to have the Taichung-Cingjing Tour first so that the rest of our stay in Taiwan will just be in Taipei City.
DAY 3: TAIPEI CITY TOUR
Taipei City, which is rich in history, is so much to explore especially that there are a lot of museums and temples around the city. The list below are just some of the famous must-visited places when in Taipei.

TAIPEI 101
The most famous landmark in Taiwan, Taipei 101, is used to be the tallest skyscraper in 2004 which comprises of 101 floors, obviously. If you don’t want to spend too much in going up to Taipei 101 observatory, you can instead visit Starbucks Taipei 101 and spend at least NT$200. You can not only see the Taipei City view, but have a sip of coffee as well.
DAY 4: NORTHERN COAST TOUR
Exploring the Northern Coast of Taiwan will also let you experience its culture more – flying a sky lantern with your wishes along the train rails, be in awe of the spectacular rock formations, and explore the old streets with an array of local foods.
YEHLIU GEOPARK
Considered as the premier destination in Northern Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark, is a proof that there’s beauty in every destruction.
SHIFEN OLD STREET
One of the must-try things to do in Taiwan is to fly a sky lantern along the train rails where locals believe dreams will come true.
SHIFEN WATERFALLS
Known as the Little Niagara of Taiwan, the Shifen Waterfalls is a 40-meter wide waterfalls to which the sounds of its splashing waters seems like a music to the ears.
JIUFEN OLDSTREET
